Josh Brown is the founder of the firm. One case at a time, Josh impressed clients and colleagues alike, taking the firm from zero clients, to the well-established firm it is today.


Josh is an Ohio litigator and small business counsel, with extensive political experience as a lobbyist and staffer at the Ohio General Assembly. He represents clients in various litigation matters, including at state and federal courts, bankruptcy courts, appellate courts, and administrative agencies.


Josh is Judge Advocate for the American Legion Department of Ohio and Legal Counsel to dozens of organizations, including various boards, non-profits, businesses, and political organizations.

  • I Love This Bar v. Ohio Liquor Commission, 10th Dist. Franklin No. 21AP-111, 2022-Ohio-3509.
  • On behalf of appellant, successfully argued that the Ohio Liquor Commission and the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas was wrong when it upheld a citations issued for violations of COVID 19 protocols.

  • Successfully argued, on behalf of appellant, that trial court was wrong in granting plaintiff’s motion to dismiss.

Representative Work

With Ohio General Assembly

  • Fiscal Officer Integrity Act. House Bill 10, 130th General Assembly.
  • Helped draft and advocated for passage of standards for training and removal of local government fiscal officers. Signed into law December 19th, 2014.


  • Workers Compensation for Firefighter Cancer. Senate Bill 27, 131st General Assembly.
  • Advocated against the original language, ultimately drafting the language passed by the General Assembly enacting standards to provide workers compensation for firefights with cancer. Signed into law April 6, 2017.


  • Workers Compensation Budget. House Bill 27 132nd General Assembly.
  • Drafted and advocated for provisions creating a statute of repose for certain claims, creating a statute of limitations for certain claims, allocating $2.5 million for safety awareness programs. Became law June 30, 2017.
